The Secret World of Lewis Carroll (2015)
Produced and Directed by Clare Beavan
Presented by Martha Kearney
A BBC Production

To mark the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice in Wonderland, broadcaster and journalist Martha Kearney explores the life and imagination of the writer, the Reverend Charles Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll, and delves into the biographies of both Carroll himself and of the young girl who inspired his most beloved creation. Famed not only for his wonderful stories, Carroll is also known for his ambiguous relationship with Alice Liddell, a seemingly innocent infatuation that Carroll documented in his pioneering photography.

The documentary is in four parts, each approx. 15 mins. Contact bworthy@nhsm.ca for links.
