Amanda has an extensive background in Business Management at McMaster University and Niagara College with a focus on Human Resources and Finance. Since retiring from her full time role, she is currently involved with Niagara College as a Consultant and part-time instructor in the School of Business.
Born in England to Canadian parents, Amanda has lived in Niagara for most of her life, and has been active in local community organizations such as Newark Neighbours, The Pumphouse Art Centre, NOTL Social Club, Bacchus, Royal Oak School, and was President of the Niagara Dinner Dance Club from 2015-2018.
Currently a Director on a national health advocacy board, and previously a Director for Goodwill Niagara, Amanda was also a founding member and Vice-President for the Foundation of Resources for Teens (FORT) in 2001 in Grimsby, Ontario.
In her spare time, Amanda enjoys spending time with family and friends, walking with her beloved rescue dog, writing short stories and poetry, and appreciating the unique history and culture of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
